The Challenge
Since 2022, a close-knit crew of friends has gathered annually for a tradition-rich BBQ. A ritual that outgrew its casual roots. The founder wanted to make it official with a logo that felt aged, earned, not designed. Premium enough for a whiskey bottle. Rugged enough for a leather apron. Versatile enough to be stamped, stitched, and engraved on annual keepsakes for years to come. The brief: upscale hunting lodge meets modern heritage. Secret society meets backyard smoke.
The Approach
The stag became the centerpiece. Noble, watchful, untamed. Its flame-shaped antlers nod to the fire at the heart of every gathering, while a crimson sun rises over mountain peaks, grounding the mark in wilderness and warmth. The shield shape was chosen for versatility: equally at home as a woven patch, a brass engraving, or a leather deboss. The palette (deep charcoal, campfire red, aged cream, and forest green) was pulled straight from the environment. Firelight against dark timber. Smoke curling through pine air.
The Outcome
The logo was selected as the winning design from a global logo design competition on 99designs, standing out among 50+ designers worldwide. We then extended the winning mark into a full branding system, embroidered caps, leather aprons, enamel mugs, etched whiskey glasses, brass coins, wax-sealed invitations, and more. This isn’t just a BBQ. It’s a society. And you’re either in, or you’re not.
