Infradossier

Infradossier gives utility and construction teams one shared record of what runs under the street. We designed its line-built D logo, a five-color utility code, campaign posters, app screens, motion and site merchandise.

The challenge

Before a crew opens a street, it needs to know which cables and pipes are already in the ground. That information is often split across separate drawings held by different utility owners. Infradossier pulls it into one living dossier that planners, contractors and site engineers share from the first plan to the final handover. The brand had to make that idea easy to grasp for people who think in trenches and permits, not software features. It also had to look right on a hard hat, on a hoarding wall beside an open road and on a tablet screen, and stand apart from the grey, technical look most utility mapping tools share.

The approach

We took the visual language from the ground itself. Utility networks are already color coded, so the palette follows that logic: red for electricity, orange for communications, green for sewer, blue for water and yellow for gas. The logo is a D drawn from five rounded lines, like cables running into a duct, and it works in a single color or in the full utility set. It sits on a construction grid eight units high, with three units between the symbol and the wordmark, so it holds its shape from a favicon to a billboard.

The lines became the main graphic device. They bend, cross and run side by side the way services do under a road, drawn like a metro map and labeled like real networks, such as Line 01 Communications and Line 03 Electric. Headlines stay short and plain: Know what’s below. Work safely above. A row of rounded pills reading Map, Assess, Coordinate, Track and Handover explains the product workflow in five words, each with its own icon and color. Together they give the brand identity design a system a site team can read at a glance.

The outcome

The identity now covers the full rollout: logo and color guidelines, campaign posters, street and building billboards, a construction hoarding wall, social media posts and profile assets, a favicon and app icon, stationery, business cards, employee ID badges, and site merchandise including tote bags, water bottles, keychains and an orange flag.

On screen, the same orange and line system carries into the mobile app interface, which opens on “Shared insight. Safer excavation. Know before you dig.” A short motion graphics piece cycles through the five utility types over an aerial street view, then resolves into the colored lines, so the color code is clear before anyone reads a word.
